Ultrasonic Testing (UT): UT is a NDT process using high frequency sound energy to detect flaws and make measurements on many different materials. Ultrasonic inspection can be used for flaw detection/evaluation, dimensional measurements, material characterization, braze/solder bond integrity, and more.
PASI’s UT capabilities include a handheld unit for surface and subsurface crack/void detection; braze or solder bond integrity detection; and handheld units for material thickness measurements in the range of .008 – 20 inches (.20 mm – 508 mm).
